My name is Sabin Bortan, I’m 37 years old and I practice enduro motor cyclism in Sibiu for over 11 years, being one of the pioneers of the enduro sporting in Sibiu and even in Romania. In 1996, my first enduro bike, a Honda 350 xlr was the second enduro bike in Sibiu. As a passionate hiker and a well trained in mountain routes I started riding the mountains with a friend of mine who was the first owner of an enduro bike in Sibiu.
In 1997 I started being a tour guide and from 1999 I started helping organize enduro competitions as a Track manager. Being a Track manager in “Enduromania Competition “ in 1999, “Redbull Romaniacs Rally” in 2004 and 2005 ,“Romanian Enduro Championship” in 2005, Sibiu edition and as a tour guide in all these years I can proudly say that I have gathered enough experience to become a professional Tour guide and be able to make a living out of this hobby. In 2005 I attended the National Enduro Championship and I won the first track but due to a fracture on the left knee which happened before the last part of the competition I finished second overall.
